Knights of Columbus The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Members are committed to making their community a better place while supporting their Church. They give assistance to sick, disabled and needy members while promoting fellowship through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare and public relief works. They have regular meetings and social gatherings.
The Knights of our parish, Holy Spirit Council 6032, meet at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Bartholomew Parish Hall on the 1st Thursdays of each month for their Business Meeting, and the 3rd Monday of each month for a Social Night family gathering. The Knights sponsor a Soccer Ball Challenge in October, a Spelling Bee Contest in November, a Free-Throw Basketball Challenge in January for our community schools, Charity starts with a "Tootsie Roll" Drive in February - March soliciting donations for the Mentally Challenged Miriam Center, Women and Children in Distress Center. Other charities include contribution to Seminarian's Vocation, Scholarships to 8 Graders, awards to 2nd Grade “keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest, Thanks Giving Mass reception, Easter Mass reception, just to mention a few. They are the "Knights of the Round Table" supporting our priests, community, and two parishes in Miramar, FL, St. Bartholomew and St. Stephen.
