Youth Ministry
AT St. BARTHOLOMEW YOUTH MINISTRY, WE STRIVE TO:
-
Support and enhance family unity.

Encourage all youth in their spiritual, academic, social & emotional journey through life.
-
Create a bond between the youth and other groups in the parish.
-
Foster relationships between other youths in surrounding parishes and the Archdiocese.
-
Develop and nurture leadership skills among the youth.
-
Love our youth without a judgmental heart.
-
Assist families who are in need of emotional, spiritual and financial support.

Educate parents in gaining effective parental skills.

| The Senior youth group meet every Sunday night after the 7pm mass, from 8pm to 9:30pm in the Sacred Heart Center. All 8th through 12th graders are welcome. |

The Junior youth group meets every Sunday evening from 5:30pm to 6:45pm in the Sacred Heart Center. All 5th through 7th graders are welcome. |
PROGRAMS OFFERED:
- Annual summer camp program for children ages 5 to 15.
- Weekend retreats for teens in high school take place at least twice a year in the Sacred Heart Center
- An annual weekend retreat for young adults takes place in the Sacred Heart Center
- An annual one day retreat for teenagers and their parents takes place in the school
- Regular field trips during the year ( Busch Gardens, Island of Adventure, Magic Kingdom, etc)
- Regular prayer and worship nights take place in the Sacred Heart Center
- Community service hours available during the year for high school teenagers
- Regular workshops for parents on pertinent issues involving family life
- Basketball tournaments at St. Bartholomew against other neighboring parishes
- Involvement with other neighboring youth ministries and Archdiocese programs
- Scholarship programs for graduating 12th graders
- Regular fun and recreation nights during meetings
- Peer ministry and leadership training for interested teenagers
- Active participation during weekly mass (youth lectors, Eucharistic ministers, ushers, etc)
