Parish Renewal Retreat
Discover new meaning for your faith and what it means to you as an individual, within your marriage or family, and for your church, in a Parish Renewal weekend retreat experience. Share a Parish Renewal weekend with fellow parishioners in a challenging and stimulating program of renewal in our faith and love as Catholics. We offer the program at no cost to participants. Meals are provided. Sessions begin Friday evening and continue through Saturday and Sunday (you go home in the evenings). The parish can arrange baby-sitting, if needed. The next Renewal date is July 20-22, 2007. Call the rectory for more information.

Blessing a Marriage
in the Church

For different reasons sometimes a Catholic may not have been married in the Catholic Church, but in some other religious or civil ceremony. We have a program for people to “convalidate” their wedding in the Church, also called “blessing” the marriage in the Church. Sometimes a previous marriage might have been involved, we can help with the annulment process. Please call the rectory for more information.

Annulments

People who have been divorced may want to pursue an annulment of their previous marriage. The procedure is much easier than it was in the past. This possibility offers particular help to those who are planning to remarry in the Church. Persons already remarried outside of the Church can pursue the annulment of their previous marriage so that their present marriage can be blessed in the Church. Call Fr. Paul at the rectory for more information.

Spiritual Development
Our faith in Jesus Christ binds us together. He deepens our relationship with himself and his Father through the workings of his Holy Spirit in our lives. Our "spirit"-ual lives are the foundation of our parish life and ministries. Individually and as a community we grow in the faith, hope, and love that are our sharing in the life of God himself. We are no ordinary human association; we are a community sustained by the living presence of God.
Confession
Confession, also known as the Sacrament of Reconciliation or Penance, may be heard face-to-face or behind a screen (your choice). Whatever makes you feel more comfortable; both options are available inside the confessional room in the main Church. Confessions are heard Saturdays 11:00-11:30 a.m. and 4:30-5:00 p.m. Other times by appointment.

Holy Matrimony - Rite of Marriage Marriage
Our parish community shares the joy of those couples looking forward to marriage. We wish them much happiness in their months of preparation for their special day, as well as throughout the years of their marriage. When they choose St. Bartholomew Church for their wedding, they plan more than just a legal contract in the state of Florida. We can help them celebrate their marriage as a sacred union in God and in the church.

Baptism
Our parish family is happy to welcome new members of the Church in the sacrament of Baptism. In our community they will also find support, education and further spiritual formation, as their Christian lives grow in the coming years.
